Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jul 13
Reduced aromas of ripe apple, pepper, spearmint and crushed stone. Broad and rich; less obviously mineral than the 2012 version but the ripe, intense pineapple flavor will give this wine good early accessibility. Finishes with a firm stony edge.

Chablis

Chablis, the northernmost Burgundy region, is famed for its crisp, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines. Unlike rich, oaky Chardonnays, Chablis wines, influenced by the cool climate and limestone-rich soils, feature vibrant acidity and flavours of green apple, citrus, and flint. Ideal with seafood, especially oysters, Chablis wines come in four appellations: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru. Esteemed producers like Domaine William Fèvre, François Raveneau, and Vincent Dauvissat are known for their classic, terroir-expressive wines.
